I got this for my wife for Christmas and she used it several times per week at the gym, whether riding, lifting or swimming. She loved it. Just the other day the transmitter stopped worked. We replaced the battery and no luck. I am contacting Timex for a repair/replacement.

I purchased this product as my first heart rate monitor watch. I have been very pleased with it so far (been using it for one week now). It is easily one of the best looking heart rate monitor watches I've seen on the market. It's very small and slim lined, especially great for a female. I have been only using it for measuring heart rate %, heart rate zone monitoring, and calorie counting...very interesting! I am hoping to learn how to use some of the other functions in the coming weeks, especially for running and biking.
One important note: I was surprised at how small/tight the chest strap was! I am a lean 5'5" and 135 lbs female, and I had to put the strap on one of the loosest settings. It feels like it has stretched a little during this week, but it's really tight (which I'm sure it needs to be to work well...good connection). I don't know how many males could fit this chest strap...maybe very thin, lean running types.
Great heart rate monitor watch at a great price.

I've been using this heart rate monitor watch for about a month now, and I really like it. You absolutely cannot beat the features for the money, the watch itself is really attractive in that athletic kind of way, and the fact that you can change the batteries on your own is a major selling point. Yes, you actually do have to read the instruction manual to get the watch set up (go figure), but once that is taken care of it's quite easy to use. I couldn't be more pleased. I bought this watch in order to tune my workouts and it has been such a breeze to use. a little time to set up but nothing major. it is so much better then trying to rely on the HRM at the gym since this one is tuned to my heart rate and my MAX heart rate. I now have an accurate gauge of what zone i am training in at all times. i've already recommended this to my mom and sisters.
the chest strap is comfortable, and after about a minute i forget its there. the watch strap is pretty long though, i have a small wrist and i have it set 1 notch below the smallest setting. if you have smaller then 6" wrist you may need to pop another hole in the band.
the design is cute, not something i'd wear all day long but perfect for the gym and other physical activities. great amount of technology for such a small price.

I purchased this for my daughter who is a marathoner. She says it works great and easy to use.
I bought the unisex version locally and returned it and bought this one because it was a bit smaller in size. It was a great price, free shipping and the 'one' she wanted.
